DC Cooler Kit — Quick Start

Power-Up

  1. Flip Breaker ON.
  2. Enable Buck 24→12V.
  3. Verify output 12.2–12.6 V (under load).
  4. Plug cooler into SB50 (correct polarity).
  5. Set cooler: Normal to pull-down → Eco.

Shut-Down

  1. Cooler OFF & unplug.
  2. Buck OFF → Breaker OFF.

Limits & Sizing

  • Branch fuse: 10–15 A
  • Fridge peak: 6–10 A @ 12 V
  • Outlet wire: 12 AWG (min.)
  • No cig sockets >10 A
  • Keep runs short; strain relief on all pass-throughs.
Battery: 24 V LiFePO₄ Buck: 20–30 A

Fast Runtime Hints

  • Running: 35–60 W; Duty: 25–45%
  • 2.56 kWh pack @ 90% DoD & 94% eff ≈ ~2.16 kWh usable
  • 50 W × 35% → ~17.5 W avg~124 h
  • 60 W × 45% → ~27 W avg~80 h

Pre-chill contents + use thermal cover to cut duty cycle.

Solar (Optional)

  • Battery → MPPT first, then PV.
  • Shut-down: open PV first.
  • Fuse each PV string if ≥2P (e.g., 15 A MC4).
