Little Shark’s Day Out Season 2 Premieres in April 2026, Unveils New Visual & Trailer

A new teaser visual and trailer have been unveiled for the upcoming second season of the short web anime series Little Shark’s Day Out (also known in Japan as Odekake Kozame). The second season will begin streaming on YouTube in April 2026.

Series creator Penguin Box also posted a celebratory illustration on their Twitter/X account to commemorate the second season’s announcement. 

Chihiro Kumano (The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei, the upcoming The Kept Man of the Princess Knight) is directing season two, with Hiroaki Nagashima (returning from season one and Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi) as scriptwriter, and Ayumi Takeuchi as character designer. ENGI is in charge of the animation production once again. 

Meanwhile, the returning voice cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Kozame-chan, Megumi Han as Anko-chan, and Misaki Kuno as Usame-chan.

The first season was released from August 2023 to May 2024, while the anime film, Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi, premiered in Japanese theaters on August 22, 2025. 

Penguin Box’s original manga series was first released as a web comic on Twitter/X in June 2021. It was later published in Enterbrain’s Aokishi magazine on October 20, 2021 under the Kitora imprint. Seven tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of July 2025.

All episodes of Little Shark’s Day Out are streaming on the short anime’s YouTube channel with English subtitles.

Little Shark’s Day Out follows the everyday adventures of the titular shark character named Kozame-chan.
