A trailer has been released for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2‘s current “Shingi no Revolte/“Divine Revolte” arc, previewing Frieren and co.’s upcoming clash with the arc’s titular Revolte (Shinichiro Miki) and other demons.
The new Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End season began airing on January 16. The anime is based on the Shogakukan-published fantasy manga written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe. The series follows the journey of the long-lived elf Frieren, formerly a member of the party that defeated the Demon King, and her new companions.
The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga started serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2020 and has 15 volumes as of December 2025. It was the winner of the 48th Kodansha Awards’ Shonen category and one of the winners at the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award, and also performed well at a number of other rankings and awards. Viz Media publishes the manga’s volumes in English.
The manga went on hiatus in October 2025, with plans for an adjusted serialization pace out of consideration for the creators’ well-being.
The anime’s two-cour first season premiered on September 29, 2023.
