Girls und Panzer Reveals das Finale — Part 5 Release Date, Princess Samurai Spin-off Screening

Girls und Panzer das Finale — Part 5 will open in Japan on October 9 (JST), with the release to include Dolby Cinema, Dolby Atomos, 4DX, and MX4D screenings. This is said to be the first time das Finale will be shown in Dolby Cinema format.

It was also announced that the screenings of Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen desu!‘s fourth part will include the pilot of another spin-off, Girls und Panzer: Princess Samurai (Girls und Panzer: Ribbon no Musha), after the main event. The premise sees battle-craving high schooler Shizuka Tsurugi and her partner joining the Tankathlon event with a tankette.

The Girls und Panzer: Princess Samurai pilot stars Yumi Uchiyama as Shizuka and Aimi Tanaka as Shizuka’s partner, Rin Matsukaze. Morihito Abe is directing at ACTAS with character designs from Shuhei Handa (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off co-character designer, the upcoming The Ghost in the Shell). The anime is based on the manga from Takeshi Nogami and Takaaki Suzuki that debuted in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Flapper in 2014.

Girls und Panzer is a franchise featuring cute girls engaging in tank combat as a sport. Girls und Panzer das Finale is a six-part theatrical series that began in 2017, after the 2012 Girls und Panzer TV anime and a 2015 anime movie.

Meanwhile, Motto Love Love Sakusen desu! is a four-part adaptation of the 4-koma manga drawn by Maruko Nii and serialized in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Alive. The first “Act” premiered on December 26, 2025 (JST), and the fourth will begin screening on April 10, 2026 (JST).
