Go with the clouds, North-by-Northwest (Hokuhokusei ni Kumo to Yuke) debuted in KADOKAWA’s Harta in 2016. The first English-translated volume was released in 2019, with the synopsis from Kodansha USA reading:

From the creator of Ran and the Gray World, Aki Irie. The story takes place in Iceland, at land’s end, 64ºN. Kei Miyama is a 17-year-old with three secrets: he can talk to cars, he can’t handle pretty girls, and he works as a private investigator. One case has him searching for a beloved dog, another involves reuniting a woman with a man she fell for at first sight. And then comes a case that strikes close to home-searching for his own little brother. Tag along as this globe-spanning journey unfolds…

Go with the clouds, North-by-Northwest didn’t remain at Harta, with an announcement of its move to the then-new Aokishi (also from KADOKAWA) being made in 2021. In early 2025, it was announced that it would leave Aokishi, which underwent a renewal that year.

The manga had seven volumes as of 2024. Its next volume, from new publisher Yukiwariso, will be released on April 30, 2026 in Japan with the subtitle Zoku no Ichi (Continuation 1).
