The official Twitter/X account and website of the upcoming A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires TV anime series has announced the addition of three new cast members. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in July 2026.
The three new voice cast members include Yohei Azakami as Lucas Lebrick (left), Masaaki Mizunaka as Friede Haldoria (center), and Marika Kono as Sylvia Lockit (right).
They join a previously announced voice cast that include:
- • Saori Onishi as Elizabeth Leiston/Ellie Leis
- • Ikumi Hasegawa as Mireille Katarina
- • Yui Ogura as Lunoa Carlton
- • Ayumi Uehara as Misha Tail
Naoyuki Kuzuya (Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time, This Monster Wants to Eat Me chief director) is directing the anime series, with Mitsutaka Hirota (Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time, Days with My Stepsister) as series composer and Sayaka Anezaki (Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time) as character designer. Studio COMET is in charge of the animation production.
The fantasy light novel series is written by Metabo Hagure and illustrated by Masami. It was first published under Hobby Japan’s HJ Novels imprint on May 19, 2022 and has released seven volumes in Japan as of August 2025.
The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2020 and was one of the award recipients in the HJ Shosetsu Taisho 2021’s Shosetsuka ni Naro category.
A manga adaptation drawn by Oonoimo debuted at the same time as the light novel series in May 2022. Ten tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of March 2026. J-Novel Club releases both the light novels and manga in English.
REMOW licensed the A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires anime series for global release in December 2025. It describes the main synopsis as:
“You betrayed me. Now it’s your turn to pay.”
After being publicly dumped by the crown prince at a national celebration and thrown in prison, Elizabeth—once the pride of her kingdom—is left with nothing but rage and powerful grimoires.
Betrayed by the country she gave everything to, she escapes across the border and reinvents herself as Ellie Leis, a savvy noble with a thirst for payback. Armed with the Seven Grimoires, Elizabeth builds a network of influence, wealth, and military might to bring her traitorous homeland to its knees.
