HIDIVE has announced the license acquisition of the I’m Dating a Dark Summoner TV anime series. The short form anime series will be exclusively simulcast on the service when it premieres in Japan in October 2026.
I’m Dating a Dark Summoner will be part of HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 simulcast season and will be available in the U.S. and Canada, as well as U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Seiya Miyajima (GANSO! BanG Dream Chan co-director) is directing the anime series at AtoriE and is also the series composer. Nyan Pollution-ω- is credited with the animation production co-operation. WWWave Corporation‘s adult anime-themed Deregula label is involved in the anime’s production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes Rei Takano as the dark summoner Amona, Yuki Nishiyama as Roni, and Senmai Hodentei as Imp.
The erotic fantasy rom-com manga series by Shaoh was first serialized on Kadokawa’s KadoComi website under its Dra Dra Sharp# brand on November 4, 2021. It has also been serialized on the Niconico Seiga service since December 24, 2021. Seven tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of March 2026.

HIDIVE describes the main synopsis of I’m Dating a Dark Summoner as:
A romantic comedy about a bickering couple: Amona, a dark summoner and demi-human girl who’s too weak to resist her desires, and Roni, an overly serious priest! Roni welcomes Aruni as a new member to his adventuring party. Everyone expected the two would clash and become sworn enemies. But, to their surprise and on their first day together, they have a one-night stand…!
