A 21-second video for the Shingo Natsume-directed (One-Punch Man Season 1, The Tatami Time Machine Blues, Sonny Boy), Madhouse-produced original anime film Ghost has been released. It shows the anime’s black-haired heroine in motion, features a strange celestial-looking environment, and teases a reveal of some sort on July 1 at 6 PM JST.
Ghost (which is a working title) was unveiled last June with a visual, two stills, and a 2027 theatrical release date. According to the post for the stills, the anime sees the girl Nike “rebelling against the irrationality of the world in order to protect the ‘starry sky.’” with the anime “lyrically” depicting her “solitude and bravery,” as well the “subtleties of the heart” that come from relationships with others.
The film features a script by Natsume, original character designs by manga artist Natsume Ono (whose ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Department manga was adapted into a Natsume-directed TV anime) and character designs by Norifumi Kugai (ACCA: 13, Sonny Boy).
