A TV anime adaptation has been announced for the NABETAMA: Getting Shots on a Frying Pan manga series. J.C.STAFF will be in charge of the animation production and the series will debut in Japan in 2027.
In addition to the release of a teaser visual for the anime, a character design of the main character, Juntaro, was shared on the anime’s official X/Twitter account.
The gourmet report-themed manga series is written by Juntaro Aoki and drawn by Shin Moriyama. It has been serialized on Kadokawa Shoten’s Comic Newtype website since May 28, 2021. Five volumes have been published in Japan as of October 2024. The series is known in Japanese as Nabe ni Tama o Ukenagara.
A spinoff manga series drawn by Hirota Takahara was launched on Comic Newtype in March 2026.
NABETAMA: Getting Shots on a Frying Pan is a “non-fiction” series where the protagonist, who sees everyone as cute girls, travels to dangerous places worldwide to taste the local cuisine.
