Kadokawa has debuted an “ultra teaser visual” of the upcoming second season of Delicious in Dungeon, which will premiere in Japan in October 2027 and stream on Netflix. The second season of the TV anime series was announced in June 2024.
The announcement was made during TRIGGER’s panel at Anime Expo 2026, with further updates to be revealed later in the future.
In addition, Kadokawa also confirmed that the Delicious in Dungeon ~Dungeon Exploration Radio~ show will resume today on the KADOKAWA Anime YouTube Channel at 9:00 PM JST. It will be hosted by Kentaro Kumagai (voice of Laios) and Sayaka Sembongi (voice of Marcille).
Yoshihiro Miyajima (returning) will direct the anime’s second season, along with Kimiko Ueno (MARRIAGETOXIN, Sanda) as series composer/story editor, Naoki Takeda (returning, BNA: Brand New Animal) as character designer, and Yasunori Mitsuda (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut) as music composer. TRIGGER will once again be handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast stars:

The first season of Delicious in Dungeon premiered in January and aired for a total of two consecutive cours, containing 24 total episodes.
The anime is based on the fantasy manga series by Ryoko Kui, which began serialization in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine on February 15, 2014, and concluded on September 15, 2023. A total of 14 tankobon volumes were released in Japan. The manga won Best Comic at the 55th Seiun Award and Best Manga at the 2024 Harvey Awards.
Besides the anime, the manga has inspired an official English-language board game and a “Ryoko Kui Exhibition & Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition” that is being run in Los Angeles until July 26, 2026.
Yen Press licensed the Delicious in Dungeon manga for English release, describing the main synopsis as:
When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions…and a member! They’re eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they’re sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons…none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!
