TV / Monitor Setup
HDMI & Ports
- Use the TV’s HDMI 2.1 port (often labeled 4 or eARC/120).
- High-speed 48 Gbps cable if 4K120; standard high-speed is fine for 1080/1440p120.
Modes
- Enable Game Mode, 120 Hz, and VRR.
- Turn off extra processing (noise reduction, motion smoothing).
PS5 Settings
Settings → Screen and Video • 120 Hz Output: Automatic • VRR: Automatic • 4K Transfer Rate: Automatic • ALLM/Game Mode: On (via TV) In-game: pick “Performance Mode”.
Xbox Series X|S Settings
Settings → General → TV & display options • Resolution: 4K or 1440p • Refresh rate: 120 Hz • Video modes: allow VRR, ALLM Use “Calibrate TV” to verify.
In-Game Modes
- Performance: 60/120 FPS, dynamic resolution.
- Quality/Cinematic: 30/40 FPS, higher resolution/RT.
- Prefer Performance for shooters/racers; Quality for slow story play.

No 120 Hz Option
