Jared Leto’s history as a comic book movie star is not exactly a fairy tale, to say the least. The Academy Award winner and star of Tron: Ares, which hits theaters on Friday, Oct. 10, delivered one of the most widely despised portrayals of The Joker in 2016’s DC supervillain crossover flick, Suicide Squad, which some argue he redeemed in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. However, he would follow up that cameo with the Sony/Marvel film Morbius, in which he plays the eponymous, vampiric Spider-Man villain, which became one of the most notorious critical and commercial failures of 2022.
