Pop culture specialty retailer BoxLunch has announced a new partnership with MAG.NET, a Japanese company specializing in manga and anime and entertainment properties. BoxLunch plans to launch a “curated selection” of merchandise from four popular manga series in January 2026, based on titles such as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, and Uzumaki. The company also teased further expansion of new merchandise and IP collaborations in the future.  The partnership will see the creation of new merchandise inspired by manga artwork, which will be distributed across an immersive “shop-in-shop” build-out that will be featured across 10 select BoxLunch retail locations. In nationwide stores and e-commerce channels, customers will be able to purchase exclusively designed T-shirts, hats, and officially licensed manga volumes. BoxLunch’s new partnership with MAG.NET coincides with the former’s 10th anniversary. The company previously partnered with Crunchyroll on products and promotion of Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia merchandise at several BoxLunch locations.  MAG.NET was established in June 2024 as a joint venture between Shogakukan and Marubeni Corporation. Two new OVAs titled Black Jack Final were released in December 2011, which were helmed by different directors after Dezaki’s passing in April 2011.  The original manga series by Osamu Tezuka was serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from November 19,1973 to October 14, 1983. A total of 17 tankobon volumes were published in Japan. The manga was previously released in English in the U.S. by Vertical. A new character trailer has been released for the ongoing Gachiakuta TV anime series, highlighting the dual personalities of the seemingly sweet Amo Empool.
