The upcoming Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers TV anime has received a second “special first look” video ahead of its January 2026 premiere.
The anime is a sequel to the 1988-1999 series Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors, its premise seeing five young samurai coming to humanity’s aid when demons invade after the unravelling of a seal on their dimension.
Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers’ predecessor previously inspired three OVA, as well as non-anime media like manga and novels. Prime Video describes the premise as such:
After a thousand years of exile, Talpa, ruler of the Netherworld, returns to claim the Earth as his own. The only thing that can stop him and his minions are five young men and their mystical suits of armor.
