The main visual for the Look Back anime film’s upcoming exhibition (Gekijoban Anime Look Back-ten — Oshiyama Kiyotaka Sen no Kanjo, or roughly Look Back Anime Movie Exhibition — Kiyotaka Oshiyama The Emotion of Lines) has been unveiled. It depicts the backs of main characters Fujino and Kyomoto.
More details about the exhibition’s contents were also revealed. Among these are an “animation tunnel” with key animation drawings suspended from various spots and photo spot recreations of Fujino and Kyomoto’s respective rooms.
Storyboards from the Look Back manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which were provided to moviegoers in Japan as limited quantity freebies, will make their first public appearance at the exhibition. Other movie production materials like design sheets and memos are mentioned as well.
Another interesting feature is the presence of a “Director Kiyotaka Oshiyama Selection” tier of tickets (6,500 yen, or ~US$42), which come with an original T-shirt. There are five designs in total, with the graphics depicting notable scenes from the movie. However, instead of using the completed cuts, the T-shirts will display the raw drawings, with the borders of the drawing sheets and annotations included. The Director Kiyotaka Oshiyama Selection tickets will be on sale until December 8 at 11:59 PM JST.
Another tier of special tickets will offer original shoulder bags decorated with key animation drawings as a freebie instead. These ones are limited in quantity.
Gekijoban Anime Look Back-ten — Oshiyama Kiyotaka Sen no Kanjo will be held at Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills Gallery from January 16, 2026 to March 29, 2026. The website’s here.
