In Eren the Southpaw, Koichi Asakura, a young designer at an advertising firm who works hard while dreaming of becoming famous, one day recalls the memory of Eren, a genius he met in his high school days. It started as a manga by Kappi, which was followed by a Shueisha-published remake written by Kappi and drawn by nifuni.

The remake manga was serialized on Shonen Jump+ from 2017 to 2022 and published under the Jump Comic + label.

Prior to the anime, Eren the Southpaw inspired a 2019 TV drama.
