Re:ZERO Season 4 Reveals April 2026 Debut, Main Trailer, Reid Astrea’s Voice Actor

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 has received a number of new reveals, including an April 2026 premiere window, a main trailer, a key visual, and Tomokazu Sugita‘s casting as Reid Astrea.

Last month’s Lucca Comics & Games 2025 event had a screening for the upcoming anime’s first episode. Crunchyroll has acquired the show for streaming.

The new season of the Re:ZERO series will see Subaru and his allies braving a desert that even Reinhard couldn’t best to get to the Pleiades Watchtower. The Season 4 premise reads:

In the deadly battle at the Watergate City of Priestella, Subaru and his allies barely emerged victorious—but their triumph came at a great cost.

Through the “Authority of Gluttony,” Rem remains in an unending sleep, while Crusch’s memories and even Julius’s name were devoured.

As he searches for a way to save them, Subaru learns of the “wise man” Shaula—an all-seeing being said to possess every form of knowledge.

His next destination is the Pleiades Watchtower, home to a wise man, the farthest tower standing in the vast, uncharted desert known as the Auguria Dunes—a place so perilous that even the mightiest “Sword Saint,” Reinhard, failed to conquer it.

The fury of nature, unknown mabeasts, and unimaginable dangers lie ahead.

Together with his friends, Subaru embarks on a life-risking journey to reclaim what was lost.

The anime is based on the isekai light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka, which sees shut-in teenager Natsuki Subaru getting transported to a fantasy world where he has to overcome various dangerous situations with the help of an upon-death time loop ability. The first three seasons premiered in 2016, 2020, and 2024, with the latter two having split cours. The third season’s second arc premiered in February 2025.

The Re:ZERO light novel series is published under KADOKAWA’s MF Bunko J label and is available in English from Yen Press. It began in 2014 and has 42 main volumes as of September 2025. The story started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel.
