A new visual and 2026 debut date have been unveiled for the upcoming second season of Sasaki and Peeps during MF Bunko’s special Fall School Festival 2025 livestream. Season two was first announced after the season one finale in March 2024. The series aired for 12 episodes from January 2024 to March 2024.

Mirai Minato (Mission: Yozakura Family) will return to direct the second season, along with Deko Akao (When Will Ayumu Make His Move?) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Saori Nakashiki (Tales of Wedding Rings) as character designer. Silver Link is once again handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

The fantasy comedy light novel series is written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. It was published by Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint on January 25, 2021 and has released 11 volumes as of June 2025. A 12th volume will be published in Japan on November 25, 2025. The series began as a web novel on Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro on December 4, 2018.
The series also inspired a 2021 manga adaptation by Pureji Osho. Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga adaptation in English for North America.

Crunchyroll is streaming Sasaki and Peeps in select countries and territories worldwide, describing the main synopsis as:
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world!
