The official Twitter/X account of the Assassination Classroom anime series announced the addition of several new cast members joining the upcoming Gekijoban Ansatsu Kyoshitsu Minna no Jikan anime film. It will begin screening in Japanese theaters on March 10, 2026.
The new cast members joining the film’s voice cast include:
- • Kikuko Inoue as Azusa
- • Mai Fuchigami as Hotaru (also voices protagonist Nagisa)
- • Sayumi Suzushiro as Kaho Tsuchiya
- • Mai Kanazawa as Kokona Tagawa
The TV anime’s cast are all reprising their respective roles for Gekijoban “Ansatsu Kyoshitsu” Minna no Jikan.
Meanwhile, the film’s staff include Masaki Kitamura (Gundam Evolve Episode 10, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 co-assistant director) as director, Makoto Uezu (Assassination Classroom TV anime series composer and scriptwriter) as scriptwriter, and Aya Higami (After-school Hanako-kun co-character designer) as character designer. Lerche is in charge of the animation production.
Comic Natalie previously reported that the film covers previously unadapted content from the manga that were not included in the original TV anime series.
The new anime film is the third and final project to commemorate the anime’s 10th anniversary, which was first announced in 2024. The first project was the rebroadcast of the TV anime’s two seasons, while the second had Assassination Classroom being featured on the All Night Nippon GOLD radio program in August 2025.
The TV anime’s first season premiered for 22 episodes in 2015, while the second season aired for 25 episodes in 2016. Crunchyroll is streaming both seasons in select countries and territories worldwide.
Two live-action films were also released in 2015 and 2015. The series also inspired several video games.
The original manga series by Yusei Matsui ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2, 2012 to March 25, 2016. A total of 21 tankobon volumes were published in Japan.
Viz Media licensed the Assassination Classroom manga series for English released, describing the main premise as:
Meet the would-be assassins of class 3-E: Sugino, who let his grades slip and got kicked off the baseball team. Karma, who’s doing well in his classes but keeps getting suspended for fighting. And Okuda, who lacks both academic and social skills, yet excels at one subject: chemistry. Who has the best chance of winning that reward? Will the deed be accomplished through pity, brute force or poison…? And what chance does their teacher have of repairing his students’ tattered self-esteem?
