The synopsis reads:

Polar opposites in looks and personality, this unlikely pair must team up to find Maju a life partner… Sparks fly in this romantic “boy-meets-girl” story of transforming insecurity into confidence!
Aoi-kun Wants This Muscular Girl to Flex! (Aoi-kun wa Mukimuki Kanojo o Kotei shitai) began serialization on Square Enix’ Gangan Online on September 28, 2024. It has two tankobon volumes as of June 2025.
Uchino tweeted on October 17, 2025 that the manga will end at 14 chapters and three volumes as a result of being cancelled. They said that the planned conclusion, which would’ve taken place in Volume 4, was the part of the story they wanted to draw the most, and that they already have the storyboards for Chapter 15 and beyond.
