Activision works to prevent Call of Duty Modern Warfare leaks
The Internet has always been a double-edged sword when it comes to keeping secrets. Activision is suffering the consequences of a small confidence error on the part of the players who have had the possibility of acquiring the new Modern Warfare a little earlier than the others. Once a game is finished, the company usually sets a date for its premiere while preparing all the logistics details for later distribution.
However, for the game to be available in stores on the announced day it needs to be distributed a few days before. This small logistics error has been exploited by some players who have begun to share various videos, gameplays, and news that was supposed to be a surprise. Content creators that had early access to the game have also joined this unfair practice, so Activision has begun to carry out damage control.
The first leaks about the campaign mode and other surprises within the game had begun to haunt the web for a week. Unfortunately during the last hours the leaks have intensified, where more details have been seen about the multiplayer mode, a special map that has been recycled from Call of Duty 4, in addition to confirming that the radar has undergone some changes in relation to previous games.
Faced with this situation Activision has begun to take action on the matter and is deleting any video related to leaks on YouTube, Twitter, Twitch and Google Drive platforms. A task that seems to be too complex considering the large amount of content that has already been filtered. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare will officially go on sale on October 25 and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
What do you think about the problem of leaks? Do you think Activision can erase all leaked content in the last hours? If you have any opinion about this interesting news, do not hesitate to share it with us in the comment box. We look forward to reading you!
