Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi Releases Main Trailer and Visual

A main trailer and main visual have been released for the Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi (Meitantei Conan: Highway no Datenshi) anime movie, which premieres in Japan on April 10.

Aside from shots of motorcycle action, the new trailer includes a snippet of the newly announced theme song “Last Dance Anata to,” which is performed by MISIA.

Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi is the 29th anime movie in the Detective Conan franchise. The plot will feature Miyuki Sawashiro‘s Chihaya Hagiwara, a high tech motorcycle called Angel, and a black counterpart to Angel called Lucifer, which is ridden by a mysterious rider with unknown motives.

Detective Conan began with the manga by Gosho Aoyama. The manga (titled Case Closed by Viz Media) started serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994 and will release its 108th volume in Japan on April 8, 2026.

Viz Media describes the synopsis as such:

Precocious high school student Jimmy Kudo uses his keen powers of observation and astute intuition to solve mysteries that have left law enforcement officials baffled. Hot on the trail of a suspect, Jimmy is accosted from behind and fed a strange chemical which physically transforms him into a grade schooler! Taking on the pseudonym Conan Edogawa, he attempts to track down the people who did this to him. But until he finds a cure for his bizarre condition, Jimmy continues to help the police solve their toughest cases.

The Detective Conan TV anime premiered in 1996, and the first anime film was released in 1997. Seven Detective Conan movies, including last year’s Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, are among the top 100 highest-grossing films in Japan.
