The upcoming TV anime series, Draw This, Then Die (Kore Kaite Shine), will premiere in July 2026. The series has also revealed some art boards that will be shown throughout the show.
Draw This, Then Die was first announced in October 2025, where it was also announced that Hiroaki Akagi would be directing the series and Shin-Ei Animation would be animating the series.
Draw This, Then Die is a coming-of-age manga written and illustrated by Minoru Toyoda. It began serialization in 2021 in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday, and as of January 2026, a total of eight volumes have been released. The story follows a young high school girl named Ai Yasumi who loves manga and is thinking of creating a manga of her own after a certain event. The series is set in Izu Oshima, a volcanic island and the largest island of the Izu peninsula in Tokyo, Japan.
