With a roster of highly engaging, colorfully designed and multi-talented VTuber idols, there’s so many reasons to love the phenomenon known as Hololive! The Hololive English members returned to the United States for their third concert series -All for One- after performing all over the world, including Los Angeles’ YouTube Theater in 2023 and Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre in 2023, with Connect the World and Breaking Dimensions respectively. In the heart of New York City, I attended one of the two back-to-back, unforgettable, and sold out shows at the iconic Radio City Music Hall.
Walking into the theater, I was greeted by thousands of penlights in the air. Although I’ve been to other VTuber concerts in the past, I had never seen anything at this scale. As a fan myself, I’m aware of how passionate the Hololive community is, but to experience it firsthand at a concert like this was an indescribable feeling.
Roars filled the room, as the concert’s headline song, All for One, kicked off the show. As a catchy, bright and inspirational tune that pulls in the energy of the entire English roster, it was the perfect song to get the crowd going and tease the phenomenal show that lied ahead.
The eminence from the sea of lights bounced around the room, with the visual effects from the show adding to ambience, as the production utilized the entire auditorium with lasers that even circled the ceiling. The theater shook as six thousand fans jumped up and down with their penlights, their energy and the scene proving to be equally spectacular. And that was just the beginning.
When Hololive mentions that they are providing cutting edge technology behind their VTubers, they really mean it. The talent belted their voices, danced up a storm, ran around the stage as they joked with fans, and even did cartwheels, yet the movement of the 3D models was seamless. Quite frankly, I was in awe.
As the show continued on, the perfectly crafted set-list created a balance of Hololive members’ song choices that kept the crowd enthralled the entire evening. Watching over the ever-changing glow of penlights as the crowd supported each member, it was evident that this is a show that would go down in VTubing history.

In between performances, everyone had a moment to chat with the audience–sharing personal stories, jokes and thoughts on performing in New York City. One thing I really love about Hololive’s talent is just the overall playfulness, uniqueness and excitement that each member brings to the table. For example, Kronii and Irys taught Towa the phrase “’ey, I’m walking here” in their best New York accent as right of passage –causing the crowd to roar in laughter. Towa, probably unaware that the pop-culture quote from the 1969 film, Midnight Cowboy, is not actually one used by New Yorkers often. It’s this level of whimsy that makes shows like these so much fun! Just warmness and good vibes all around.
As for the rest of the performances, although everyone was flawless, some really stood out as both fan and personal favorites. For example, there were couple of fun surprises, including some featured special guests from Hololive Japan who joined in for songs like “Gravity,” which included Ouro Kronii, IRyS, Tokoyami Towa, and “Hot Duck” starring FUWAMOCO, Koseki Bijou, and Oozora Subaru.
Also memorable was Hololive Myth’s first performance as a trio. Since last year’s Breaking Dimensions concert, Myth members Watson Amelia and Gawr Gura graduated, leaving Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, Ninomae Ina’nis as the generation’s remaining members. The trio performed 2023 hit “Seishun Archive”, which proved to be both bittersweet and heartwarming.
Myth’s debut was actually the reason why I became a VTuber fan. I’ll never forget the excitement I felt during their introduction. I loved that each member had their own distinctive qualities to appreciate. Amelia’s mischievousness, Gura’s playfulness, Kiara’s high energy, Ina’s gentleness, and Mori’s general coolness, all provided such a great dynamic where each moment together felt like hanging out with friends. This was very much appreciated as their debut was peak COVID-19, a time when I was mostly indoors.

The standout of the night, though, was when the vocally talented Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame took the stage with her cover of Hoshimachi Suisei’s “Stellar Stellar.” Bloodflame flawlessly executed the vocally challenging song as if it were her own, as the audience stood in both disbelief and cheers as they were captivated by the moment.
As everyone came back on stage, screams of joy filled the room. Sadly, though, the evening of magic was coming to an end. The show closed out as a group with “Connect the World” and “Odyssey,” as fans were both excited to see all of the entirety of Hololive English come together on stage at once and heartbroken that the concert was nearly over.
As I thought about the show, I was reminded of the quote featured on the -All for One- website.
Striving Toward our dreams
Overcoming obstacles and hardships
Moving Forward and Supporting Each Other.
Our Voices and Hearts Unite
Together, we are All for One
Those words resonated with me as I reflected on the concert. All the fans there sat in those seats striving towards their dreams together with their oshis, their favorites, and put aside any worries when they entered the concert hall. It was as if everyone there was to support each other. It’s obvious that Hololive strives to deliver a performance that will leave everyone in attendance in awe of the magical experience. -All for One- did just that.
