Rocket Stove Mk II / TLUD — Laser-Cut Patterns

Patterns for the Top Plate and the Pot Skirt. Units are mm. Click “Download DXF”. Print sheet included.

Material & notes: 304 stainless (top plate 1.6 mm, skirt 0.8–1.0 mm). Deburr after cut. Avoid galvanized in hot paths.
How to use: Preview SVG. If the outer squares look correct (130 mm for plate, 360×120 mm for skirt), hit Download DXF. Import to your CAM with units = mm.

Pattern A — Top Plate (130×130 outer, 105×105 inner, 4× M5 holes, 4× pot tabs)

Includes separate small rectangles for pot support tabs (20×12 mm, x4) you can rivet to the plate or mount to your pot-skirt ring.

Holes: 4× Ø5.5 mm for M5 bolts, offset 10 mm from each edge along midpoints.

Pattern B — Pot Skirt Flat (roll to ring; seam + rivet pattern; standoff holes)

Flat panel you roll into a ring. Seam allowance built in; rivet holes on the seam and four standoff holes to mount 12 mm gap tabs.

CAM / Fab Tips

  • Import DXF with units set to mm. Kerf-compensate per your laser/waterjet.
  • For press-brake pot tabs (if you add bendable tabs to the plate), put bend lines on a non-cut layer (e.g., ETCH) and set your machine to etch/mark, not cut.
  • Skirt seam: use 3.2 mm SS rivets through the Ø3.5 holes; clamp tight so the ring stays true.
