A new concept video has been unveiled for Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation’s upcoming Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara CG anime. According to Sakai Film Office, the anime is expected to be released sometime next year.
The CG anime’s staff includes Katsuie Shibata as scriptwriter, Tsuburaya Production’s Masayuki Goto (SSSS.GRIDMAN Gridman designer) as kaiju designer, Sei Nakashima as Maru character designer, and Masatsugu Saito (Expelled from Paradise character designer) as Coco character designer.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars Aya Yamane as Maru and Karin Takahashi as Coco.
Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara takes place in Osaka’s Saki city, with Sakai Film Office describing the anime’s premise as “themed around the story of a ‘Kaiju’ and a girl.” Part of the official main synopsis is described as:
A youth named Maru lives in the peaceful City, a society freed from the restrictions of the body, mind, space, and time. In contrast, a girl named Coco, a member of the Aidara Tribe, resides in the Zone, a treacherous area also inhabited by incredible beasts. The story revolves around two opposing characters seeking a path into a shared future.

The CG anime is part of the larger Kaiju Decode project, which was announced at Tsuburaya Convention 2019. Previous works include a short anime and VR animation.
