The 2024 light novel Kyokai no Melody, which is getting its second volume on November 25, 2025 in Japan, will be adapted into a TV anime.
Kyokai no Melody‘s first volume told a tale of overcoming grief, a process that begins after main protagonist Kyosuke suddenly encounters the ghost of his deceased bandmate, Kai. It marked the debut of idol and talent Toshiya Miyata as an author and featured illustrations from LAM.
The book was published in May 2024 under KADOKAWA’s Media Works Bunko label. It has inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Ikura Sugimoto.
