My Hero Academia: Vigilantes 2nd Season Unveils New Visual & Trailer for “Aizawa School Days Arc”

A new visual and trailer have been unveiled for the ongoing second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes TV anime series, showcasing the upcoming “Aizawa School Days Arc.” The new story arc will begin on February 9, 2026. The second season began airing in Japan on January 5, 2026.

Voice actor Rikiya Koyama has also been cast as the new character His Purple Highness.

Additionally, character visuals of Shota, Hizashi, and Oboro as young students have also been released.

Kenichi Suzuki returns to direct the second season, with Yosuke Kuroda as series composer, Takahiko Yoshida as character designer, Haruko Nobori as color designer, Yukihiro Watanabe as background art director, and Yingying Zhang as composting director. BONES FILM is in charge of the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars Shuichiro Umeda as Koichi Haimawari, Ikumi Hasegawa as Pop Step, and Yasuhiro Mamiya as Knuckle Duster. 

The anime is based on the superhero manga series written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and drawn by Betten Court. It is a spinoff prequel of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia series, taking place five years before the main story. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Giga magazine on August 20, 2016, before moving to Shonen Jump+ in October 2016. The series concluded on May 28, 2022, with 15 total tankobon volumes being published in Japan. VIZ Media releases the manga series in English. 

A special one-shot chapter was released on Shonen Jump+ in April 2025.

The first season aired for 13 total episodes and was released from April 2025 to June 2025. 

Crunchyroll is streaming both seasons of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes in select countries and territories worldwide. It describes the main synopsis as: 

Koichi Haimawari is a dull college student who aspires to be a hero but has given up on his dream. Although 80% of the world’s population has superhuman powers called Quirks, few are chosen to become heroes and protect people. Everything changes for Koichi when he and Pop☆Step are saved by the vigilante Knuckleduster and get recruited to become vigilantes themselves!
