Moriarty The Patriot Musical has revealed its main cast for its upcoming musical “Moriarty The Patriot Musical The Scarlet Study Reprise.” It was announced during Jump Festa 2026 Jump Station Stage. The musical is scheduled to perform in Japan from June 27, 2026 to July 19, 2026 at the Galaxy Theater.
A new short trailer and visual were released with the performance dates.

For the first time, the musical will run with two different groups, with many of the cast reprising their roles from previous Moriarty The Patriot Musicals. The main cast is as follows:
- • Shogo Suzuki as William Moriarty (reprising)
- • Ryo Hirano as Sherlock Holms (reprising)
- • Hidetoshi Kubota (reprising) and Kazuaki Yasue as Albert James Moriarty
- • Kazuyoshi Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Hayakuna as Louis James Moriarty
- • Takashi Sasaki as Sebastian Moran (reprising)
- • Yugo Miyajima (from Japanese boy group ORβIT) and Seiji Shintani as Fred Porlock
- • Kenta Kamakari and Shinichi Hashimoto as John H. Watson (both reprising their role)
- • Kanon Nanaki as Miss Hudson (reprising)
- • Shun Takagi and Junichi Ito as Geroge Lestrade (both reprising their role)
“Moriarty The Patriot Musical The Scarlet Study Reprise” was announced on December 2nd with a teaser visual. It is being produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ryousuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi’s Moriarty The Patriot manga series. Hideyuki Nishimori, who has worked on all of the Moriarty The Patriot musicals, will also be directing and writing the script of this latest one.
The original manga series was first serialized in August 2016 in Shueisha’s Jump Square. As of December 2025, it has released 21 manga volumes. It inspired light novel side stories, stage plays, musicals, and an anime adaptation and OVAs.
Viz Media has licensed and is publishing the manga in English. Crunchyroll is streaming all 24 episodes of the series and OVAs. Crunchyroll describes the series as:
