KOMODO has announced that its manga platform service NIUHI will be available on the iPhone App Store in the U.S. and Japan, starting on December 1, 2025. The company also confirmed that a version on the Google Play store will be coming soon.

The app will introduce several new features for users of the service, which include the following:
Manga and Comics from Around the World
- • NIUHI will feature manga and comic titles from Japan, the United States, and Hong Kong, with more works from indie and commercial creators being added regularly.
Creator Profile Page
- • The app will have customizable creator profiles, where artists can present their work in a personalized space. Profiles can include a profile photo, cover image, and optional features like country flags and social media links.
User Profile Page
- • The new “Favorite Shelf” feature allows users to showcase up to six of their favorite purchased titles as an organized digital bookshelf. Users will be able to view each other’s own curated selections on the platform.
Profile Customization
- • NIUHI Rewards will allow users to unlock exclusive avatars by completing reading milestones, starting with rewards for finishing five and ten books. Avatars include characters from What the Muck: the end of the world, MOON CIDERS, and NIUHI’s original characters.
- • Users who create an account between December 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 will receive a special bonus avatar.
Community Translations
- • Fans will be able to support creators by helping translate stories into different languages using what the company describes as “built-in translation tools.”
To celebrate the launch, KOMODO is also releasing a new third episode of NIUHI’s original manga series MOON CIDERS by Japanese duo artist TALI. It will debut on December 1, 2025 and will be available to read for free.

The first two episodes of MOON CIDERS are already available to read for free on the NIUHI platform.
