A visual for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2‘s upcoming “Shingi no Revolte” arc (“Divine Revolte Arc,” according to the internet) has been released. It shows Frieren, Fern, Stark, and others in a ruined setting, while the titular Revolte of the new arc looms in the dusk sky.

Shinichiro Miki is the voice of Revolte. The “Shingi no Revolte” arc begins on February 27.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 began airing on January 16. It is based on the Shogakukan-published fantasy manga written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe, which sees the long-lived elf Frieren, once a member of the party that defeated the Demon King, journeying with a new generation of companions. The anime’s two-cour first season premiered on September 29, 2023.

The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2020 and has 15 volumes as of December 2025. It was the winner of the 48th Kodansha Awards’ Shonen category and one of the winners at the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award, and also performed well at a number of other rankings and awards. Viz Media publishes its volumes in English.

The manga went on hiatus in October 2025, with plans for an adjusted serialization pace out of consideration for the creators’ well-being.
