The villainess isekai light novel series is written by Tenichi and illustrated by Suzunosuke, and was first published under Ichijinsha’s Iris NEO imprint on June 4, 2019. Twelve volumes have been published in Japan as of July 2025.
The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel on April 19, 2018. It also inspired a manga adaptation by Bunko Matsuura, which ended serialization in late 2022 due to Matsuura’s health. A second manga adaptation was published from June 2023 to December 2024 and a third manga series was launched in March 2025.
