The second season of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs has received a teaser visual and the reveal of a 2026 premiere date.
Season 1 premiered in April 2022 and ran for 12 episodes.
Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs is based on the Micro Magazine-published light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda, which Seven Seas Entertainment describes as such:
Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Can Leon spark a revolution to change this new world order?
The light novel series, which is is published under the GC Novels label, began in 2018 and ended with 14 volumes in 2024. There is a manga adaptation, which received a continuation in 2025, and spin-offs. The story was first published as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro starting in 2017.
