Trigun Stargaze Drops Main Trailer, Premieres on January 10

The main trailer for Trigun Stargaze is here, accompanied by the reveal of the anime sequel’s January 10 premiere date and its theme song details.

The opening song is ano‘s “Picaresque Hero,” while the ending song is FOMARE‘s “Stardust.”

Trigun Stargaze is the follow-up to 2023’s Trigun Stampede and takes places two and a half years after that show. Crunchyroll describes Trigun Stampede as such:

Vash the Stampede’s a joyful gunslinging pacifist, so why does he have a $$6 million bounty on his head? That’s what’s puzzling rookie reporter Meryl Stryfe and her jaded veteran partner when looking into the vigilante only to find someone who hates blood. But their investigation turns out to uncover something heinous—his evil twin brother, Millions Knives.

The anime is based on Yasuhiro Nightow‘s Trigun manga, which previously inspired a 1998 26-episode anime series and a 2010 anime movie titled TrigunBadlands Rumble. The manga ran from 1995 to 1997 before being followed up by 1997 to 2007’s Trigun: Maximum

The original manga was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine, while Trigun: Maximum was serialized in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine. The original series was initially compiled into three tankobon volumes, with Shonengahosha later compiling it into two volumes. Trigun: Maximum has 14 tankobon volumes.
