The Umamusume: Cinderella Gray manga will come to an end on December 25, after entering its final arc in July.
The manga, a spin-off of the popular Umamusume: Pretty Derby media mix franchise created by Cygames that focuses on the ashen-haired Oguri Cap, started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and has 20 volumes as of June 2025. Taiyo Kuzumi handled the art with Masafumi Sugiura (Umamusume S1 co-series composer) as scriptwriter and Junnosuke Ito (S1 producer) as planning composer.
The manga’s 22nd volume will be released in Japan on December 18, 2025.
A Umamusume: Cinderella Gray TV anime directed by Takehiro Miura at CygamesPictures premiered in April and started its second cour last month. The cour 2 synopsis reads:
Hailing from the humble countryside, Oguri Cap has turned the racing world on its head. Her rampage through the national race scene seemed unstoppable… until it wasn’t. Tamamo Cross, the current peak of racing, has bested the Beast and declared Oguri Cap her rival.
But Oguri Cap can’t afford to keep her attention on Tamamo Cross alone. One by one, racers from all over the world arrive in Japan, ready to demonstrate their own prowess. Up against the best the world has to offer, our ashen racer will need to reach beyond her limits if she wants to stand a chance…
Keep those eyes peeled—a Cinderella story full of twists and turns lies ahead!
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby franchise includes a number of other anime and a mobile game that made its English debut on June 26.
