The upcoming Undead Unluck: Winter Arc TV special has received a main trailer and a main visual. It was also revealed that Queen Bee‘s “02,” which was part of the single release for “01” (the anime’s first opening song), will be the special’s ending theme song.
Undead Unluck: Winter Arc will premiere in Japan on December 25 (effectively December 26 at 12:10 AM JST)..
The Undead Unluck TV anime series ran from October 2023 to March 2024. The anime is based on the action manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka, which Viz Media describes as such:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally! Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good. However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts Andy’s burial plans on hold.
The Undead Unluck manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020 and ended in January 2025. The TV anime was directed by Yuki Yase (Fire Force Season 1, Mekaku City Actors) at David Production, while the special is directed by Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Ninja Kamui) at his E&H Production studio.
