The upcoming You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! TV anime has received a main trailer and a key visual ahead of its January 2026 premiere. It was also announced that Takehiro Urao is voicing main protagonist Yonosuke Sakai.
Additionally, Hikari Kodama‘s “Amanojaku” was revealed to be the ending theme song.

You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! is based on the childhood friend-themed romantic comedy manga by Shinya Misu. The initial premise sees teenage protagonist Eyu grappling with his attraction towards two of his childhood friends.
The manga began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in 2022 and has 18 volumes as of November 7 JST. Crunchyroll premiered the anime at New York Comic Con on October 12 and will stream it (Asia excluded).
