A main trailer and final visual for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 2 have been released. The film will begin screening in Japan on September 11.
Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 had its theatrical premiere on April 24. The two-part movie serves as a theatrical version of 2024’s Sound! Euphonium Season 3, featuring a rewritten scenario and new scenes that include band performances.
The Sound! Euphonium anime, which is based on the Takarajimasha-published novel series by Ayano Takeda, follows the band members of Kitauji High School. In Season 3, protagonist Kumiko has to lead the Kitauji High School band and handle the unforeseen appearance of Mayu, who is also a third-year euphonium player like herself.
Sound! Euphonium‘s first season began airing in 2015. Aside from the TV show, other anime entries include theatrical versions of the first two seasons, the Liz and the Blue Bird spin-off film, 2019’s Sound! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale movie, and the 2023 theatrical OVA Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest.
The books began in 2013, with the series having seven main volumes as of 2019. A new short story anthology titled Sound! Euphonium: Kitauji Koukou Suisougakubu no Minna no Hanashi was released in 2024.
