The upcoming Historie TV anime has received a trailer and a new teaser visual, as well as a January 2027 broadcast premiere window. A number of cast members were also announced.
Among those cast members are Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eumenes, Ryota Suzuki as Hieronymus, Kazuya Ichijo as the elder Hieronymus, and Yuko Kaida as Theresia. Others include Wataru Takagi as Charon, Satoshi Tsuruoka as Hekataios, Anri Katsu as Thrax, and Tsugumi Mogami as Aristotle.
Historie is based on the manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki. The story follows Eumenes, the secretary of Alexander the Great.
The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s seinen magazine Monthly Afternoon in 2003 and has 12 volumes as of June 2024. It was one of the winners of the 49th Kodansha Awards.
