A new visual and two additional cast members have been unveiled for the ongoing MARRIAGETOXIN TV anime series. The anime first aired in Japan on April 7, 2026.

The two new cast members include Kazuyuki Okitsu, who is also voicing Shiranui from Mao, as Toshiro Dogo (left) and Ayaka Suwa, who voiced On Miyao from Wandance, as Byakko (right).


They join a main anime voice cast that stars:

Motonobu Hori (Metallic Rouge, Super Crooks, Carole & Tuesday) is directing the anime series, with Kimiko Ueno (Ranma 1/2 remake series composer and co-scriptwriter, Sanda) as series composer and scriptwriter, Kohei Tokuoka (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity) as character designer and chief animation director, and Taisei Iwasaki (Metallic Rouge, Blood Blockade Battlefront) and yuma yamaguchi (Undead Murder Farce, the upcoming Goodbye, Lara) as music composers. Bones Film is in charge of the animation production, with Bones credited with the production and supervision for the series.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series in North America and other select countries and territories. Muse Communication licensed the series for release in Southeast Asia.
The romantic comedy action manga is written by Joumyakyu and drawn by Mizuki Yoda. It began in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform on April 20, 2022 and has released 17 tankobon volumes as of April 2026. An 18th volume will be released in Japan on July 3, 2026. The series placed eighth in the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2022’s web category.

Manga Plus and VIZ Media release the MARRIAGETOXIN manga in English, with the former describing the main synopsis as:
A hitman and a marriage swindler set out on the world’s most grueling battle for marriage! Gero is a young man from a clan of hitmen, which has been in existence for hundreds of years. As someone who’s never gone to school and lived his life dealing in the dark side of the business, he considers himself to have “no prospects with women” and marriage as “something not for him.” However, one day, in fear that their lineage would dissolve, his clan warns Gero that if he doesn’t marry and produce an heir, they would have no choice but to…force his little sister into doing “that.” Driven to his wits’ end, Gero asks the target of his work, a marriage swindler, to marry him?! With the swindler as his advisor, the hitman’s pursuit of the perfect marriage begins.
