Mashle: Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc is the follow-up to the 2023 first season and the 2024 Mashle: Magic and Muscles The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc. The anime adapts Hajime Komoto‘s Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga, which follows the magicless Mashle as he attends a magic academy, Tomoya Tanaka returns to direct at A-1 Pictures with Yosuke Kuroda as series composer and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. The character designer this time is Chiaki Kozumi (Solo Leveling and Engage Kiss sub-character designer).

The Shueisha-published manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2020 and to 2023 and has been collected into 18 tankobon volumes. Viz Media describes the synopsis as such:

Mash just wants to live in peace with his father in the forest. But the only way he’ll ever be accepted in the magic realm is by attending magic school and becoming a Divine Visionary—an exceptional student revered as one the chosen. But without an ounce of magic to his name, Mash will have to punch his way to the top spot.

Prior to Mashle: Magic and Muscles Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc‘s proper unveiling, an announcement of a Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime sequel was made in 2024.
