A key visual for the upcoming Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 has been released. Aside from Rudeus, Sylphiette, Roxy, and Shizuka Nanahoshi, it depicts the Armored Dragon King Perugius Dola, stated to be a key character in the new season, and a demonic-looking female.
The previous promotional material for the anime, which took the form of a trailer, highlighted Eris and her experiences while away from Rudeus.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 will begin airing on July 5 at 24:00 JST (effectively July 6 at 00:00 JST). The anime is based on the KADOKAWA-published isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels’ synopsis as such:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
The anime’s first season premiered in 2021, with Season 2 following in 2023. Both seasons were broadcast across two split cours. Season 1, Season 2 Cour 1, and Season 2 Cour 2 had different directors.
The light novel series, which is published under the MF Books label/imprint, ran from 2014 to 2022 with 26 volumes and has inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The Mushoku Tensei story began in 2012 as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel.
