A main visual for the upcoming Rich Girl Caretaker TV anime has been released. Aside from rich girl Hinako Konohana (who takes up most of the visual’s space) and her caretaker Itsuki Tomonari, the art work depicts three other characters, two of whom have had their voice actors announced.
Saori Onishi is voicing Mirei Tennoji, the girl with the drill hair and ribbon. Meanwhile, Rio Tsuchiya is the diffident-looking, hair tie-wearing Narika Miyakojima. Both of their characters are also rich ladies.
Rich Girl Caretaker is an adaptation of the Hobby Japan-published light novels written by Yusaku Sakaishi and illustrated by Sakura Miwabe. The premise sees Itsuki becoming Hinako’s caretaker after getting caught up in a kidnapping, and discovers that Hinako is less capable than her public image suggests. The anime will begin airing in July.
The light novel series, which is published under the HJ Bunko label/imprint, started in 2021 and has 11 volumes as of 2025. There is a manga by Sorahiko Mizushima.
Spain-based publisher Monogatari Novels had licensed the light novels for English publication, with Volume 1’s synopsis reading:
A high school boy, Itsuki Tomonari, gets involved in a kidnapping and ends up taking care of Hinako Konohana, a young lady from one of Japan’s largest conglomerates.
On the surface, Hinako seems to be a brilliant and charming girl, but in reality, she is a lazy girl with no life skills. However, due to family reasons, Hinako has to play the role of the “perfect young lady” at school. Wanting to protect her, Itsuki takes care of her in a very caring manner. Eventually, Hinako begins to fawn on Itsuki with all her might… “Now…if Itsuki isn’t around, I would hate it.”
This is a love story that begins with a cute young lady with a gap that transcends the master-servant relationship.
While there are listings for three English-translated volumes of Rich Girl Caretaker on Amazon (each with a March 3, 2026 release date listed; the publisher announced that it was taking pre-orders for Volume 1 on its website as far back as October 2023), all three are listed as being “Currently unavailable” and have no user reviews. At the time of writing, Monogatari Novels’ X/Twitter account has not posted anything since May 2025, and its website is inaccessible.
