Several Sgt. Frog (Sergeant Keroro/Keroro Gunso) and Gundam collaboration illustrations have been dropped on the Sgt. Frog anime’s X/Twitter account. Also released was a preview of the upcoming Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu! anime movie.
The illustrations, drawn by Sgt. Frog creator Mine Yoshizaki and Mobile Suit Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, include spoofs of the Mobile Suit Gundam compilation movies’ posters. One sees Keroro dangling between the arms of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable.
As for the Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu! preview, the chosen portions feature a red Zaku and a Gundam mobile suit during a battle.
Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu! is set to begin screening in Japan on June 26, with he premise seeing Keroro and the other main characters dealing with an invasion of Earth. It’s the first Sgt. Frog anime since 2014’s short anime series Keroro and will precede a new TV anime, which sports a different cast, that will debut in the Fall 2026 anime season.
The KADOKAWA-published Sgt. Frog manga began serialization in 1999 in Shonen Ace after a 1998 one-shot and has 35 volumes as of 2025. Viz Media describes the first volume of the manga as such:
After Sgt. Keroro blew his cover and lost his top-secret weapon, the frog-like alien has been cut off from the homeworld. To make matters worse, he’s lost communications with the rest of his platoon. Now he has taken cover in the Hinata family household, where in exchange for doing his share of the chores, he gets his own room from which to secretly devise new plans of world domination!
The original Sgt. Frog TV anime began airing in 2004 and ran for 358 episodes across multiple seasons until 2011. A few movies were released between 2006 to 2010, with the last being SERGEANT KERORO: The Super Duper Movie -Adventure in Space-Time Island-.
A collaboration visual for Sgt. Frog and the new Gundam movie Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe was released in February.
