A trailer and visual for Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs Season 2 have been revealed, along with a July broadcast start date.
A teaser visual was released in January.
Trapped in a Dating Sim is based on the Micro Magazine-published light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the books’ synopsis as such:
Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Can Leon spark a revolution to change this new world order?
The light novel series, which is is published under the GC Novels label/imprint, began in 2018 and ended with 14 volumes in 2024. There is a manga adaptation, which received a continuation in 2025, and spin-offs. The story was first published as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro starting in 2017.
The anime’s first season started airing in April 2022 and ran for 12 episodes.
